Antioxidantes help to neutralise free radicals, which can cause ageing and wrinkling of the skin. Vitamin C is also essential for the manufacture of collagen, a protein that supports the skin. Collagen breaks down as we get older, causing the skin to sag.



BRAZIL NUTS Rich in selenium - just four Brazil nuts will provide over 100% of the recommended daily amount, which helps protect the skin against sun damage and age spots.



SALMON Omega-3 fats in salmon, encourage the body to produce anti-infiammatory compounds that help to slow and even reverse the signs of skin ageing.



CARROTS, mangoes and other orange/red fruit and veg are rich in the pigment, betacarotene, which helps to improve skin colour, making it look healthier and more attractive. In a recent study at Bristol University, people noticed an improvement in their skin just two months after eating more carotene-rich foods.
